The American Thyroid Association evidence-based Management Guidelines for Patients with Thyroid Nodules and Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma published in 2006 have sparked much interest in practitioners. Over 25,000 free copies of the guidelines were downloaded from the American Thyroid Association website between 2006 and 2007, underscoring the educational need physicians have for understanding the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer. The speakers at the National Thyroid Cancer Workshop are the principal authors of the guidelines and will present the latest thinking on this subject. |
